Le Chef

“All flavours, craft and the love and attention for preparing food come together in my kitchen. I have a strong preference for fair, strong and distinctive flavours.”

The best dishes are made when combining fair products with pure tastes. I have learned the best techniques and skills over the years from inspiring and superior chefs. At Café Louis, I combined this knowledge into a Burgundian kitchen with a mix of local and seasonal dishes. Café Louis serves classic French dishes with our creative and refined twist!”

À la Maison

Café Louis dishes are among others prepared with fresh ingredients from established local partners from Maastricht.

Café Louis serves delicious pies and bread from Patisserie Royale. A local patisserie that has been working in the heart of Maastricht since 1929 and is now owned by the Struijcken family. They provide Limburg with a complete range of delicacies made in a traditional manner and with passion. At Patisserie Royale you can expect real craftsmanship.

Café Louis selected for you the best wines from the Apostelhoeve at Maastricht. Since 1970 the Apostelhoeve produces delicious wines. It was even the first vineyard of the Netherlands. This vineyard delivers six beautiful dry white wines: Müller-thurgau, Auxxerrois, Riesling, Pinot-gris barriques and Cuvée XII. They even have Apostelhoeve Riesling Brut and Apostelhoeve Cuvée XII Brut for the lovers of sparkling wines.

The coffee we serve comes from Blanche Dael. The coffee roaster and teapack from Maastricht. Blanche Dael has a history dating back to 1878 and has been known for its coffee since 1928. Blanche Dael coffee is more than just coffee. The Maastricht family business also contributes to a better world. They produce their coffee in a sustainable way and use part of the coffee price to pay the Escuela Dael Foundation to enable them to carry out projects.
